Matcha Moments

Matcha Moments

Recipes for Modern Wellness and Reflections on Zen and the Samurai Spirit

Matcha Moments explores matcha not only as a drink,
but as a quiet practice for calm focus, presence, and modern wellness.

Why this book exists

Many wellness books focus on doing more.

Matcha Moments begins by slowing down —
using simple, repeated rituals to quiet the mind
and gently steady attention.

Rather than chasing productivity or discipline,
this book returns to the body,
to rhythm, and to presence.

What’s inside

Inside the book, you’ll find:

– Modern matcha recipes designed for everyday life
– Gentle approaches to energy, focus, and balance
– Reflections on Zen and the Samurai mindset
– Simple rituals that support calm awareness without force

For essays and reflections that expand on these ideas,
visit the Matcha Moments Journal.

Upcoming Works

My second book, Matcha Minds — Zen Presence and the Samurai Mind, is currently in progress.

While Matcha Moments focuses on everyday wellness through matcha and simple rituals, this upcoming book explores a deeper question:

What actually changes the mind?

Through Zen, neuroscience, and embodied practice, Matcha Minds examines how presence is cultivated not through belief or effort, but through the body itself.
